Who Owns The Music
34Resets recordings, the underlying compositions, the lyrics, the album artwork, and the release metadata are owned by 34RESETS LLC or licensed to it.
Nothing on this page transfers ownership of anything.
What This Covers
This license covers recordings we make available directly, whether free or paid, and it sets out what you may do with them.
It does not replace the terms of a streaming store. When you listen on a streaming service, that service's own terms govern your playback there. This license applies to files we provide to you.
Downloads are available from 34resets.com to signed in members, at no charge, for the material their account is entitled to. This license governs every one of those files. It also governs any paid download we offer in future.
What You May Do
Subject to the restrictions below, we grant you a personal, non exclusive, non transferable, revocable license to:
- Listen to the recording for your personal enjoyment.
- Keep a copy for personal offline playback, so the music works without an internet connection.
- Store it across devices you personally own or control, such as your phone, your computer, your tablet, and your car.
- Make a personal backup copy for your own use, where the law where you live permits it.
That is the whole of it. This is a listening license for one person.
What You May Not Do
You may not, without our prior written permission:
- Resell it. No selling, sublicensing, renting, lending, or trading the file or any copy of it.
- Redistribute it. No sending it to other people, no sharing it in group chats or communities, no bundling it with anything else.
- Re upload it. No uploading to streaming services, video platforms, social platforms, music libraries, or any other distribution service under any name, including your own.
- Put it on file sharing sites. No torrents, no peer to peer networks, no public file lockers, no download aggregators.
- Play it publicly or commercially. No use in a business, shop, restaurant, gym, salon, event, broadcast, waiting room, or any public performance context. Public and commercial performance requires a license we have not granted here.
- Sample it. No taking any part of a recording, however short, into another work.
- Remix or edit it. No remixes, edits, mashups, extended versions, or derivative recordings.
- Sync it to video. No pairing it with commercial video, advertising, film, television, a client project, a branded social post, or any monetized content. Synchronization requires a separate license.
- Strip identifying information. No removing or altering copyright notices, credits, artwork, or embedded metadata.
- Train models on it. No using the recordings, compositions, lyrics, or artwork to train, fine tune, or evaluate any machine learning or artificial intelligence system, and no using them to generate voices, styles, or derivative audio.
- Claim it. No presenting the work as yours, no registering it with a distributor, a rights society, or a content identification system, and no monetizing it.
What A Purchase Does Not Give You
To be completely plain, because this is where people are most often confused:
- A free account gives you no ownership. Creating a member account, and downloading everything it entitles you to, grants nothing beyond the listening license above.
- A merchandise purchase gives you no ownership. Buying a shirt with album art on it gives you a shirt. It does not give you rights to the artwork, the recordings, the compositions, or the brand.
- A paid download gives you no ownership. You are buying a licensed copy to listen to, not the master recording, not the publishing, and not the artwork.
- Streaming gives you no ownership. Listening on any service grants nothing beyond that service's playback terms.
Masters, publishing rights, and artwork remain with 34RESETS LLC and the rights holders behind it.
A Note On Enforcement
We are not going to claim this system is copy proof or piracy proof, because no system is. Any file that can be played can be copied.
We rely on people being decent, on the terms above being clear, and on the law. What this license does is state plainly what is permitted and what is not, so nobody has to guess, and so that when something is misused, the position is already on record.
If you see 34Resets music being used in a way this license prohibits, tell us at hi@34resets.com.
Fair Use And Ordinary Sharing
Nothing here is meant to stop you from being a fan. You may:
- Share a link to a release, a store page, or a video.
- Quote a short lyric with credit to 34Resets, where the law where you live allows it.
- Post a personal, non monetized clip of yourself listening or reacting, on a platform where we distribute the music and where that platform's own licensing covers it.
- Talk about, review, or criticize the work.
If you are unsure whether what you want to do is ordinary fan sharing or something that needs permission, ask us first. Asking is free and fast.
Requesting A License
For anything beyond personal listening, including sync, sampling, remixing, public performance, commercial use, or a project you are being paid for, email hi@34resets.com with the subject line "License Request" and tell us:
- Which recording or recordings you want to use.
- Exactly how you want to use them.
- Where the result will appear, and for how long.
- Whether it is commercial, and what the budget is.
We read every one of these. A clear request gets a fast answer.
Termination
This license ends automatically if you break it. If it ends, stop using the recordings and delete the copies you hold.
We may also revoke the license if we are required to by law or by a rights holder. Where that happens we will tell you.
Changes
We may update this license. The version in effect when you obtained a recording governs that copy. A later version applies to anything you obtain after it.
